The direction of the Detroit Dental Sleep Network is to be a model throughout North America for providing oral appliance therapy to patients who snore or suffer from obstructive sleep apnea. We will create community awareness in Southeast Michigan of the serious side effects of this disease. This group of dental professionals are leaders in dental sleep medicine, work with medical sleep professionals and are called upon for evaluating new and advanced technologies in oral appliance therapy.
JAN OUELLETTE is the administrative director of DETROIT DENTAL SLEEP NETWORK. Jan joined Coaching for Service in October 1993. An Alumnus of Hope College in Holland, Michigan, she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geology. Jan has extensive training in team facilitation skills, both as a leader and as a participant. She designs and edits our client’s newsletters, ads and brochures as well as offering support services and coordinating our seminars.
Lyn Picard is the graphics and marketing coordinator of DETROIT DENTAL SLEEP NETWORK.
Lyn, the newest member of Coaching for Service, joined the team in April of 2007. Her background in communication arts is considerable and varied. She is a graduate of the College for Creative Studies with a BFA in graphic communication. Her experience includes illustration, graphic design and copy writing. As a senior art director she has combined all of her skills developing and implementing creative concepts to produce a wide range of materials from calendars, books, magazines, newsletters and brochures to logo designs and signage. She does research, writing and design for client newsletters, brochures, ads and signage and a variety of marketing materials. Web development and design are also produced by Lyn for Coaching for Service and its clients.

Alan was born and raised in Detroit, graduated from Henry Ford High School, received a bachelor's degree from Wayne State University and has a master's degree from the University of Michigan. He is recognized throughout North America as a leader in the field of Dental Sleep Medicine.
Alan combines a family background in the dental laboratory business that spans over 50 years of working cooperatively with dentists nationwide. He has a strong commitment to the Detroit Metro area and is proud to work with dental and medical professionals in a community awareness and treatment program on oral appliance therapy for patients suffering from snoring and obstructive sleep apnea.
Fifteen years ago he formed The Barnes Group, a think-tank and technical consortium of independently-owned dental laboratories in the U.S. and Canada. Many of these laboratories fabricate oral appliances for OSA.
The formation of the DDSN was a natural progression of linking dentistry and medicine for the treatment of OSA.
